Ana Narciso

After leaving Técnico in 2012 with a MSc in Computer Engineering, Ana joined Novabase to learn and build data warehouses for banking, telcos and the government.
In 2016 she moved to Amsterdam to join the small startup Picnic, which became the biggest most successful online grocery delivery service in the Netherlands thanks to the data-driven mindset. She built not only the data warehouse as an engineer but also led the entire data department that also included master data management and machine learning.
Last year, Booking.com challenged her to create the same data dream, joining as a Principal Data Engineer. Working with every single department, there is not a part of the business that does not benefit from the data platform she is designing. From engineering to product and engineering management and back again to engineering, she is passionate about connecting data and people.
