Melda Salhab

Melda is currently technical program manager in the Uber AI team, based out of Amsterdam. Previously, she was part of the Uber Maps team and prior to that she led analytics and automation for Uber’s Middle East & Africa operations team. Prior to joining Uber, Melda worked as a consultant for various organizations, such as the World Bank and United Nations Development Program. She was also a management consultant at Monitor Deloitte for several years. In terms of academic background, Melda holds a BA in Economics from Wellesley College, an MSc in Urban Economic Development from University College London (UCL), and a PhD in Spatial Data Science from the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis at UCL, where she used satellite data to address critical data gaps in holistic disaster risk modeling and economic development.
