How I use technical skills to solve challenges related to character rigging on Feature Animated movies at DreamWorks Animation

This talk explores how programming and scripting serve as foundational tools in modern character rigging for feature animation. By combining technical problem-solving with artistic intent, rigging becomes a bridge between engineering and performance. I will walk through how tools, automation, and custom systems are developed to solve complex deformation and control challenges, enabling animators to focus on storytelling and expressive motion. Ultimately, this intersection of code and creativity is what allows characters to feel alive on screen.
